Customer request: A shoe that will fit my orthotic

My podiatrist has recently prescribed an orthotic and said that I need to wear it all the time. What shoe would you recommend?!

Customer request: Help! I need a shoe that will fit my orthotic. My podiatrist has recently prescribed an orthotic and said I need to wear it all the time. I’m having trouble finding a shoe that it will fit. What would you recommend?

Liz, Cosyfeet Shop Manager & Fitting Expert, says:

If you need to wear shaped insoles or orthotics, I’d advise you to look for a style that is especially deep or has a removable insole. Take a look at our online buying guides where you’ll find a list of styles that are suitable.

One style that I would definitely recommend is Belle, our new sporty-looking, lace-up style. It will accommodate splints and deep orthotics and it’s also very supportive.

A couple of customers, who wear orthotics, have sent us these reviews:

“I purchased these shoes as I had a bunion operation. They are wide and comfortable and I have special insoles that fit in the shoe, no problem.”

“I have a problem with shoes. I take a very wide fitting and also wear an appliance inside a shoe for drop foot. Found these shoes were perfect. Modern looking and was able to accommodate my drop foot support. All in all excellent value for money.”
