Helpful for...
Good for dry fissuring heels if not open. May help to reduce pressure on heel at night (the cause of pressure sores)
For elderly patients who aren’t very mobile they may help protect vulnerable heels in day footwear.
An excellent way to hydrate the heels through the night by keeping cream applied in contact with the dry surface of the heel.
May be helpful in hydrating heel callous.
Unhelpful for... Feet with lymphoedema or other heavy swelling as the sock could be too tight (consult health professional).
Unhelpful for ishaemic heel pain (poor arterial circulation) as the sock could reduce circulation to the area (consult health professional).
Not suitable for heels with open wounds or if there is a history of heel ulceration. (Consult health professional)
