Overall After trying various toe tubes my surgeon recommended yours and I haven't needed to look further.
Others have frayed or the gel has broken up after a few washes. They have been too long or too short, yet these I can cut them to the length required. Some have been too wide or they have expanded on washing. These grip the toe gently and keep that grip for some time. Others have been too thick and bulky, but these are thick enough to give protection but don't take up too much room, so the toes remain comfortable.

Overall My toes swell badly in hot weather and holidays have been spoiled in the past because of blisters. Now I always take a pack of toe tubes away with me – the same pack has lasted three holidays now! It’s usually the first thing I pack.
Helpful for...
Can be useful for callous, corns or rubbing on the inter phalangeal joints. (These joints are the lumpy part of the toes)
Useful for toes which take excessive pressure due to mal alignment (e.g. due to osteo arthritis sometimes toes deviate and so rise up and rub on the upper of the shoe or neighbouring toes)
Helpful for interdigital corns and callous.
Unhelpful for...
Ingrowing toenails, as the constriction of the tubes would push the nail further into the skin of the toe.
Caution needed if the patient has a history of Ischamia, Reynaud’s phenomena or chilling (poor arterial circulation in the digits.) as the tube might further restrict the circulation in the toe.
Any open lesion or wound on the toe.
General advice...
Keep the devise clean and wash it regularly to prevent increase chances of athlete’s foot.
