For me Poron insoles have been a revelation. I must have spent over 500 pounds on having podiatry insoles made for me at various times in the past but always struggled with wearing normal, golf, & tennis shoes. No idea why they work, but for me they do, just wish I could get Cosyfeet to offer me a discount for buying 6 to 10 pairs in one go !!.

Helpful for...
Helpful where shock absorption is needed e.g. Osteo arthritis changes in the foot joints, lack of fibro fatty padding on the ball of the foot or heel.
Can be helpful with for the rheumatoid foot (patient should consult Podiatrist with this condition).
Can help when there are corns or callous areas under the weghtbearing areas of the foot.
Helpful for the ridged boney foot needing shock absorption.
Helpful for people who have to stand on their feet all day.
Generally helpful for the elderly foot which naturally loses its ability to shock absorb. Can help in the sports arena where extra shock absorption may be needed eg long distance runners.
Unhelpful for...
Patients that find shock absorption destabilizing, some patients need a firm surface to walk and stand from to keep their balance.
General advice...
Check for wear and indentation as insoles can lose their shock absorption over time dependant on use.
Ensure that insoles fit shoes properly, if cutting the insoles to fit ensure the foot does not pass over the end of the insole which could cause problems.
