I discovered your wonderful range of footwear whilst recuperating from an emergency operation to save a toe that I almost lost due to the negligence of a bogus chiropodist (I won't name names for fear of reprisals).

Normal slippers caused me to cry out in pain every time I moved, but then a friend suggested that I try your Rowans, as she had found such relief herself whilst wearing them. My foot had swelled beyond all recognition (it hardly looked human!) but the moment I eased it into a Rowan, I felt comfortable for the first time in weeks. As other customers have noted, the easy access they provide is an absolute boon.

I especially appreciate how durable they are, and they cope with any spillage or stains. I only wish you would produce an all-weather version with a deep sole tread and water repellant finish so that I could venture further in them, now that I'm on the mend.

Keep up the good work - the swollen and abused feet of England depend on you!

This is my third pair of Rowans. It is to be kept for best. They are super. They are warm and comfortable on my feet. THEY OPEN RIGHT OUT! No other shoes or slippers do. I wonder why. My feet and ankles are severely swollen. It is very easy to get the shoes on, and the LARGE areas of Velcro mean they cope with variable swelling. They have obviously been designed by someone who listens to and observes the needs of disabled people! Superb.

Bought one pair of these Rowan slipper/shoes for my mother who has extremely swollen feet and legs. She normally has to cut open 'wide slippers' to fit her feet! she is over the moon with these, so much so that I have ordered another pair to be kept for 'best and going out'.

I have now purchased 3 pairs of these slippers for a friend of mine who suffers with extremely swollen feet. They are Ideal and fit well. I would like to see the same design in a machine washable fabric as he suffers from ulcerated feet and hygiene is extemely important..

I recently purchased 'Rowan' for my husband, who finds it difficult to wear ordinary roomy footwear, due to his badly swollen feet/ankles. We are both delighted with them.

Hubby needs help to put on his footwear and, these shoes are particularly easy. They open so fully, that the swollen foot can just be placed inside, with no struggling or difficulty. It is then easy to flip the tongue back in place, then slip the two flaps into position over the foot, to fasten in the most comfortable position. The velcro pads ensure a nice secure fit.

The suede leather uppers are good quality and supple enough for Rowan to be worn as a slipper, but sturdy enough to wear as shoes. We applied a spray of weather proofer to them and my husband has had no problems at all, wearing them outside in showery weather conditions.

Rowan is a wonderful solution for anyone who needs an extra roomy shoe/slipper; and surprisingly, when worn outdoors, they don't have an "obvious slipper" appearance, or feel. Hubby - and his feet - are very comfy and, I will, no doubt, be ordering more (in another colour) soon.

At last! I don't have to extend my mankey slippers with extra bits of Velcro. These new Rowan slipper/shoes open out properly and close properly, surface to surface with specially robust velcro. They are wide enough! They even look neat!

This style is really suitable for you if you can’t wear our other footwear because your feet are too swollen or very heavily bandaged. They are made with a lightweight EVA sole and are suitable for both men and women. As they have suede leather uppers they are not washable. They open right down the front so they are easy to put on. They are suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
