I have just received a second pair of these Monty shoes, which being exceptionally light and strong are ideal for my condition of polio.

Made on our lightweight sole, this style is great if you do not do a lot of walking and it can be easily adapted by a cobbler or hospital if you have to have it built up or modified in any way. It opens right down the front so it’s easy to put on and offers a lot of adjustment to accommodate swelling or bandages. If you are very active I would suggest a style on a polyurethane sole as this is more hardwearing. I think this style looks especially nice in brown nubuck.

Useful tips to keep Monty - Extra Roomy looking great…

Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Allow to dry fully and treat with an appropriately coloured shoe cream or polish, alternatively use our QuickShine. Take extra care with light colours.

We recommend that shoes with Nubuck leather uppers are treated with a Nubuck Protector before use, this will increase their water resistance and help to preserve their appearance. Repeat this exercise on a regular basis. Once in use, remove any dirt with a stiff Nubuck brush after allowing to dry naturally.

If the shoes get wet allow them to dry naturally, don’t put them in the airing cupboard or near a fire or radiator. Stuffing them with newspaper or tissue will help ensure they maintain their shape whilst drying.
