Bought these socks to wear on frequent trans Atlantic flights. However, the sock is finished off at the top by the manufacturer folding the top over which makes a " hem". This gives a double layer of support which due to the supportive nature of the material causes a restrictive band on the leg. After a couple of hours this becomes tight and very uncomfortable. I then have a circular mark on the skin that takes a considerable while to resolve. I could not tolerate this sitting down on a plane for 10 hours! I do not have large or swollen legs either.
In my oppinion these socks are best worn for shorter periods only. It is a pity that these socks are not finished off like other Cosyfeet socks.
However, these socks do provide wonderful support and help prevent my legs from aching whilst shopping and ironing.
Would buy another pair but not until the top of the sock is finished in an alternative way.

These socks are a must if you are travelling or are likely to be sat still for long periods. The graduated compression helps to improve blood flow and therefore reduce the risk of DVT. They are not recommended if you are diabetic and if your legs are swollen we advise you check with your GP or nurse before wearing them.
