Cosyfeet slippers in the style of Andy Warhol!

20 Mar 2013 12:16:22

The talented daughter of one of our customers has sent us a copy of her fantastic ‘pop art’ painting of Cosyfeet slippers.

The talented daughter of one of our customers has sent us a copy of her fantastic ‘pop art’ painting of Cosyfeet slippers.

We love this painting of our original Cosyfeet slippers. A copy of it was very kindly sent in by the artist, Hazel Speed. She said her mother used to wear our slippers and loved them. Hazel kept them after her mother died and depicted them in this wonderful painting.

She painted it in the ‘pop art’ style of Andy Warhol’s designs - in quarters, with alternating angles of image and colours for the background. We’re very grateful to Hazel for letting us share the image with our customers.

6 Mar 2013 12:02:16

Well done to everyone on the Cosyfeet team who ran 13.1 miles on Sunday 3rd March to raise money for Canine Partners.

Well done team Cosyfeet!

Congratulations to team Cosyfeet who successfully completed the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday 3rd March on behalf of Canine Partners. The weeks of training paid off and everyone managed to cross the finishing line in one piece and without too many aches and pains. So far the team have raised £2538.17 through sponsorship and the money is still coming in!

Despite it being a bitterly cold day, thousands of people lined the streets of Bath to cheer on the 12,000 half marathon runners, many of whom were raising money for charity. Every year the event raises a substantial sum for various charities and Cosyfeet were very proud to be a part of it.

Well done to everyone on the team. You did it!

Why People Get Swollen Feet

1 Mar 2013 13:23:52

It is common for people to suffer from swollen feet.

It is common for people to suffer from swollen feet. However, determining what causes an individual’s feet to swell can be a mystery in itself. There are many different things that can cause an individual to be forced to deal with this type of condition.

One of the most common reasons for swollen feet has to do with gravity. When an individual is forced to sit in a specific place for an elongated frame of time, or stand for long periods, fluid from other parts of the body can be pulled down to your feet. Weakening of the valves that appear in the veins of an individual’s legs can also be a cause for swelling.

Pregnant women may also experience swelling in this area as well. The reason for the swelling in pregnant women is due to the fact that there is an added amount of pressure on the veins on their legs, due to the increased load that they are carrying, their child.

Serious health conditions, such as chronic liver disease, emphysema, and congestive heart failure, can also increase an individual’s chances of having to suffer with this type of condition. In order to determine what the cause for your ailment is, it is vital that all serious health conditions are ruled out first. If the issue is caused from a serious health condition, then the only source of relief that you will have is to have the health condition causing the swelling alleviated first. If the swelling persists, other methods may be entertained.
