The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III will take place at Westminster Abbey, London on Saturday 6th May 2023. This spectacular occasion will be celebrated across the UK and there will be a host of festivities taking place.
Enjoy the special Coronation Concert
A special Coronation Concert will be held at Windsor Castle on Sunday 7th May 2023. The show will have a range of performers and musicians come together. There will also be a special ‘Lighting up the Nation’ event where locations across the country will be lit up for the show.
Celebrate with friends and family
The Coronation Big Lunch is all about enjoying this historic event together. Organised by the Big Lunch Team at the Eden Project, it's a great way to celebrate the weekend with friends, neighbours and family. Why not get creative and create some fabulous Coronation inspired decorations, or get baking and make some delicious cakes to share with the grandchildren.
Volunteer and meet new people
Encouraging people to try volunteering, the Big Help Out will be held on Monday 8th May 2023, in tribute to His Majesty The King's public service. A range of organisations across the country are helping to give everyone a chance to volunteer in local areas. It's a great way to end this fantastic weekend and meet new people too!
