Make a memory box for 2015

A memory box is a bit like a treasure box. It’s a place you can put things you want to keep because they remind you of special times. It’s simple to make and a fun activity to do with your children or grandchildren.

Make a memory box for 2015

A memory box is a bit like a treasure box. It’s a place you can put things you want to keep because they remind you of special times. It’s simple to make and a fun activity to do with your children or grandchildren.

To make a memory box you will need:

  • A shoe box (or similar) – a Cosyfeet box is perfect!
  • Wrapping paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue or sticky tape
  • Decorations such as stickers, glitter, sequins, ribbon or buttons

Simply cover your box with paper and decorate it. You may want to write or paint the year on the lid. Now you can start to fill it! These are some of the things you may want to keep in it:

  • Cards from special occasions
  • Photographs
  • Certificates or medals
  • Letters and postcards
  • Tickets stubs from the cinema, theatre or concerts
  • Pebbles and shells collected from the beach
  • Pictures you’ve drawn
  • Entry tickets to attractions
  • Leaves or flowers collected on walks
  • Newspaper cuttings
