What’s so special about Rosemary Oil?

Rosemary is more than just an aromatic herb that tastes good with roast lamb! It is also a powerful essential oil that has many health benefits.

This versatile oil, with its distinctive woody fragrance, has been used in folk medicine for thousands of years to relieve aches and pains and improve memory.

During research carried out recently by University of Northumbria, researchers discovered that Rosemary “produced a significant enhancement of performance for overall quality of memory”. It also helped people become more alert and helped produce a feeling of contentment in volunteers.

In other research, it’s been shown to boost nerve growth and support the healing of neurological tissue and brain function. It has also become a popular ingredient in many skin and hair care products due to its antiseptic properties and researchers are starting to dig deeper into its medicinal characteristics.

New for autumn, and to build on the success of our Pure Lavender Oil, we have introduced Pure Rosemary Oil to our range of creams and lotions.

Rosemary Oil

To relieve congestion or aches and pains, add a few drops to your bath or to a massage oil. Use it in an oil burner or on a tissue to relieve stress, boost mental activity and enhance memory. Or add a few drops to your hair brush before brushing to encourage hair growth. You can also use it in the garden as a natural insecticide.
