Wedding Bells for Allen and Mary

Allen Smith and Mary Giles first met over 20 years ago on a coach trip to Swanage and were friends for many years before romance blossomed and they became engaged.

We first met Allen and Mary in the Cosyfeet shop when they came in to buy their wedding shoes together. We got chatting with this delightful couple and were over the moon to be invited to their wedding, held on Saturday June 3rd at Christ Church in the Somerset town of Frome.

The bride looked radiant in a stunning silken dress with a delicate gauze bolero and dainty Florence shoes in nude. She carried a pink bouquet and wore an elegant silver tiara.

The groom looked very smart indeed in formal attire, with a yellow rose at his lapel and a bow tie at his collar. He had selected the classic Roy shoes which complemented his outfit perfectly.

Mary was assisted by her bridesmaid, Allen’s sister Margaret, who wore an exquisite pale pink lacy dress. The bride was proudly accompanied up the aisle by her handsome son David to the tune of ‘The Bridal March’.

Allen waited nervously at the altar, and was visibly captivated by his wife-to-be as she joined him for the wedding vows. The mood was of love and celebration, and there was a loud round of applause from the many family and friends present as the groom kissed his bride.

The couple will honeymoon in St Agnes, Cornwall before returning to their home in Frome.

We feel privileged to have attended Mary and Allen’s beautiful wedding service and wish this wonderful couple many happy years of love and laughter together.
