What’s on in July?

If you fancy getting out and about this July, there are lots of great events to enjoy around the UK.

Things to do in July

There are lots of interesting things going on around the UK this month. This is just a small handful of them:

In Scotland, the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival takes place from 19th to 28th July. The festival includes traditional jazz as well as swing, mainstream jazz and occasionally some more modern groups.

Whitstable Oyster Festival is a six day event that takes place from 27th July. It’s held in Whitstable, Kent each year to celebrate the town's links with the oyster industry.

The Big Cheese, 26th - 28th July, is a spectacular festival set in the shadows of one of Europe's largest castles. Every year the town of Caerphilly comes to life for a celebration of food, drink, culture and music. Over 50 Welsh producers gather to sell their delicious cakes, wine, liquors, sweets, chocolate, cheese and pickles.

In Northern Ireland, the Red Sails Festival is held in Portstewart from Sun 21st to Sat 27th July. This is a family-friendly festival with lots of free music from local bands and orchestras, Irish dancing and a spectacular firework display to end the festivities.

Whatever you do and wherever you go this July, we hope you have fun! And if you know of any other events that are on this month, we’d love to hear from you.
