Alison - Our extra deep problem solver

Alison

Cosyfeet footwear is specifically designed for people with wide-fitting feet rather than for diabetic feet. However, we are aware that many of our customers are diabetics and discuss their requirements when designing our footwear, as Cosyfeet designer Nick Brown explains, “We carefully consider the position of seams and are pleased to offer many styles with no seams at all in the toe area.” In addition, particular materials offer antifungal benefits, another consideration for the health of diabetic feet. Alison was developed with lots of adjustability, specifically for those whose swelling fluctuates throughout the day. The triple touch-fastening strap provides efficient fitting flexibility, while the premium-quality leathers are soft and supportive.

Fit testing

Cosyfeet employee Louise was diagnosed with diabetes thirty years ago. Over the years Louise has become accomplished at managing her condition and appreciates the importance of wearing well-fitting footwear to protect her feet. Louise’s feet fluctuate in swelling during the day so she needs a style with lots of adjustability. As a diabetic it is crucial to eliminate pressure and rubbing on her feet and Louise looks for styles with minimal seaming, particularly around the toe area.

Louise was delighted when Cosyfeet style Alison was introduced. The extra deep seam-free toe area offers lots of room for Louise’s toes to move around. The incredibly soft leather moulds gently around the foot and the three adjustable straps provide ample fitting flexibility. Louise was particularly pleased to hear that the lining and insole top are made from a sanitised material which allows her feet to breathe.

As an active grandmother Louise says, “I spend a lot of time running around after my granddaughter Aleks. I need shoes that look stylish with trousers, whilst offering extra roomy comfort and protection for my feet, Alison ticks all the boxes!”
