Men’s Slippers Buying Guide

This buying guide has been designed to help you choose the style of slipper that’s right for you. Please click here to view our Men's Slipper range.

Unlike many slippers on the market, ours offer good support and stability. That’s because they have a stiffener built into the heel. This provides shape and support, so they’re more like a house shoe, but they still have the comfort and softness you’d expect from a slipper. They also have a substantial sole which can be worn indoors and out.

Sizing Guide

Cosyfeet slippers are designed for feet that can't fit into ordinary footwear. They are extra wide and extra deep so they’re very roomy.

All our men’s styles are made with an extra wide fitting of approximately 3H. But don’t worry if you don’t know your width size as many of our styles are adjustable. This means they’re flexible enough to fit feet that swell up during the day or if one foot is more swollen than the other.

Unlike many other brands of wide fitting footwear, Cosyfeet slippers also benefit from extra depth which means they’re particularly good at fitting problem toes and bunions or feet that are very swollen.

To put it simply, all of our slippers have been designed to be roomy enough to comfortably fit a whole variety of foot problems and conditions. Some styles are more suitable for specific conditions than others - please see suitability for foot conditions below or ring our customer advice line on 01458 447275 if you’d like more help.

What size should I order?

We understand that new customers are sometimes concerned about getting the perfect fit using mail order. However, most customers find that if they order their normal shoe size (that’s the size they would of ordered before they experienced problems with their feet), a Cosyfeet shoe will provide the extra room and comfort they’re looking for.

If you normally take a half size and we don’t offer a half size in the style you want, we would suggest that you order the smaller full size.

All our slippers are adjustable so whichever style you decide to buy, you’ll be much more comfortable than with a standard slipper.

If you find your swelling gets worse during the day, it might be worth choosing a style that has easily adjustable touch-fastening straps.

Of course there is no absolute guarantee but about 80% of our footwear customers find success first time - and if you count those customers who send goods back to swap for another style or size, that rises to 90%. If for any reason you’re not 100% satisfied with your choice, you can exchange for another size or style - or we’ll give you an immediate refund. It’s as simple as that.

Material Types

Trilobal Fabric Cotton Acrylic

A stretchy fabric that stretches to accommodate extra swelling.

The straps on our touch-fastening slippers can also be attached to the trilobal fabric so that if one foot is much more swollen than the other, the strap can be pulled tighter.

Trilobal styles are machine washable at up to 40º C. Do not tumble dry. If the style has removable footbeds, please ensure that you take them out before washing the slippers. The footbeds can be washed separately at 30º C.

Slippers that are made from cotton, cotton-mix or with cotton linings can help keep feet cool.

Most cotton styles are machine washable at up to 40º C. Do not tumble dry. If the style has removable footbeds, please ensure that you take them out before washing the slippers. The footbeds can be washed separately at 30º C.

Acrylic is a synthetic polymer based fabric that we use for a number of our slipper styles.

Acrylic is lightweight, soft, and warm, with a wool-like feel. It is hard wearing, washes well and retains its shape.

Acrylic styles are machine washable at up to 40º C. Do not tumble dry. If the style has removable footbeds, please ensure that you take them out before washing the slippers. The footbeds can be washed separately at 30º C.

Sole Types

All Slippers feature Flexible Rubber Soles

Very flexible material, it's slightly heavier than PU and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use but not suitable if you need your footwear built up.

Suitability for Foot Conditions

All of our slippers have been designed to be wide, deep and roomy enough to comfortably fit even the most challenging of conditions. However, there are some styles that are more suitable for specific conditions than others:

Arthritis Bunions Swollen feet and ankles Problem Toes

If you have arthritis and your movement is impaired, we'd recommend a style with a touch-fastening as they're the easiest to put on, take off and adjust.

Many people suffer from the pain of bunions which can be made worse when trying to fit into standard footwear. Cosyfeet products are made from soft materials and some have especially wide, deep toe boxes to accommodate bunions.

We would recommend slippers made from Trilobal Fabric as they have the most ‘give’.
For example:

All Cosyfeet footwear is ‘extra roomy’ and has been designed to fit swollen feet so whichever style you decide to buy, you’ll be much more comfortable than with a standard slipper.

If swelling gets worse during the day, choose a style that has easily adjustable touch-fastening.

Don’t forget our range of extra roomy socks which has been specially developed to give a more generous and comfortable fit.

We would recommend a style with a deep toe box or a seam free toe area.
These include:

Don't forget our range of socks for sensitive feet.

Looking After Your Slippers

Many of our men’s slippers are machine washable at up to 40º C. Look out for the Machine Washable symbol. Simply place in your washing machine with similar coloured items, ensuring that the strap is fastened and wash on a normal setting. If the footwear has removable footbeds, please ensure that you take them out before washing. The footbeds can be washed separately at 30ºC.

It is important that you allow the footwear to dry naturally – it can be line dried but should not be placed near heat sources such as radiators or open fires.

Do not tumble dry.
