Wool isn't just for winter!

Although we associate it with keeping warm, wool is an ideal fibre to wear in the summer. That’s because of its natural climate control and breathability which helps keep feet cool and comfy.

Year-round comfort for swollen feet

When you think of summer shoes, footwear made from wool probably isn’t the first thing that springs to mind. As it’s a natural insulator, wool is a go-to fabric for keeping snug and warm in the winter. But did you know, that thanks to its natural climate control, it can keep your feet at a comfortable temperature, even during the warmer months? It’s also naturally breathable, odour resistant and wicks moisture away from your feet to help keep them cool, fresh and dry.

Wool is a wonderful fibre with some other amazing benefits. Naturally soft and stretchy, it gently moulds to your feet for an ultra-comfy fit. It feels soft and comfortable, so it’s brilliant for sensitive skin, and it’s hypoallergenic, so it’s ideal if you’re prone to allergies. It’s also very hardwearing, and with sheep producing a fleece a year, it’s a naturally, renewable source.

New for 2018, Cosyfeet have introduced Katarina, a Scandinavian-style wool sneaker for women. With lots of underfoot comfort, it’s fantastic for swollen, sensitive feet. The rubber sole offers outdoor comfort, grip and durability while the cushioned footbed is removable so it’s ideal if you wear an orthotic.

Our Purewool™ slippers, Frieda for women and Bjorn for men, are beautifully soft for indoor comfort but thanks to their rubber sole, can also be worn outside. They have a touch-fastening strap that adjusts to fit swelling and they’re even washable at 30 degrees.
