Application Advice

Before you apply:

Just a few points before you start your application.

  • Please use the Application Form provided. Although CVs are useful, they occasionally leave out key information and don’t allow you to elaborate on yourself and experiences. Our application form asks for specific details about your employment and education history and then provides a large space for you to tell us more about you. This is where you need to tell us why you are deserving of an interview and why you think you would stand out to us over other candidates.
  • Use the Job Description and Person Specification to focus your application supplement. Check what the role entails, what qualifications or experience we ask for (whether preferable or essential) and tell us clearly where you feel you match those requirements. You don’t have to ‘tick all the boxes’ but highlight where you do.
  • Please including a covering letter with your application form. This letter is where you tell us why you have applied, what attracted you to this role or to Foot Shop Ltd and what you can bring to the role and the business as a whole.
  • Please let us know when you are or are not available for interview on the last page of the application form. We always look here before contacting successful applicants and hope to find a mutual convenient time to arrange interviews.

When you have completed your application, email it along with your covering letter to me at recruitment@cosyfeet.com.

After the Closing Date:

Once the closing date has passed the Director or Supervisor responsible for the role for which you are applying will begin the process of shortlisting applicants. This is where all your efforts above could pay off. Some roles generate a large number of applications so giving relevant details to where you feel you match the requirements of the position is very important. We always contact every applicant that applies, whether a positive or negative outcome at shortlisting or interview stage.

Feedback is not automatically given, however if you would like to receive some feedback please contact me and I will speak to the relevant interviewing team.

Thank you for your interest in working with us and I wish you the best of luck with your application.
