The Chelsea Flower Show has been a key occasion in the Royal Horticultural Society’s calendar for over 100 years. Every year the grounds are transformed into beautiful gardens and vibrant horticultural displays. This quintessentially British event, has become an important venue for watching emerging gardening trends and transformative ideas in garden design, and hopes to inspire everyone to appreciate the beauty of nature.
There is plenty to do at this year's display, including the Show Gardens which curl round Main Avenue and Royal Hospital Way. A stroll along this route will take you past some of the finest examples of garden design at the world’s most prestigious flower show. As well as inspired plant combinations and cutting-edge landscaping, these Gardens serve as a barometer of current gardening trends and key issues facing horticulture. Or the Balcony and Container Gardens explore what's possible in a smaller space. Urban gardens can be so much more than a place to store a bike. Top designers take on the challenges that town and city gardeners face, from flood management, pollution and noise to clever ways to make the most of the small space. These Gardens are practical as well as inspirational, with design principles that can be lifted and transplanted to nearly any garden space.
If you’re attending this year's show, or have your own floral display at home, be sure to share your pictures with us on our social pages, we’d love to see them!
