What makes Misty waterproof?
The CosyTex™ membrane between the leather and the lining is at the heart of this waterproof shoe. It’s an extremely thin layer of polytetrafluoroethylene, a strong, tough, waxy resin which has millions of tiny pores per square inch. Due to its microporous structure, it has some amazing characteristics.
From out to in it's very durable and waterproof, allowing you to stay dry and enjoy your activity in comfort. From in to out it allows sweat to pass through and helps reduce overheating and perspiration build up. The membrane and lining seams are sealed using a waterproof tape which is applied by specialist equipment and machinists.
Cleaning & caring for leather/ waterproof mesh footwear
This footwear should not be hand or machine washed.
Please be aware the outside upper material is a combination of quality grain leather and breathable fabric.
Wipe leather pieces with a damp cloth and allow to dry fully before using a good quality shoe polish or shoe cream in an appropriate colour. Apply with a suitable cloth, avoiding the fabric detail, rub in until absorbed and then buff up with another cloth.
If your footwear gets wet allow it to dry naturally. Don’t put them in the airing cupboard or near a fire or radiator. Stuffing them with newspaper or tissue will help ensure they maintain their shape whilst drying.
Allow any mud or stains to dry before attempting to remove them from the waterproof mesh Once dry, remove any dirt with a soft brush and then wipe with a damp cloth.

Our women’s styles are a 6E width fitting. They are specially designed to fit very wide or swollen feet and are wider, deeper and roomier than anything on the high street.

Fitting Expert Review
This shoe is part of our waterproof CosyTex™ range so it’s perfect for walks in the country and being out in the rain. As with all the shoes in our CosyTex™ range, it’s heavier than some of our styles due to the High-Performance sole which is suitable for rough ground and inclement weather. It’s a bit more casual in appearance and comes with both an elastic, toggle fastening for ease of fastening and adjustment, as well as a set of ordinary laces should you prefer to use these for maximum support around the foot. There’s good adjustment with this style so they will be suitable if your swelling varies throughout the day. The other styles in the ladies CosyTex™ range are Moose, Minnie and Maisie.
