Heritage Open Days 10th – 13th Sept 2015

This month over 4000 buildings that are usually closed or charge for admission will open their doors for free during Heritage Open Days.

From castles and medieval cottages, to battlefield walks and Buddhist temples, the variety is endless. Buildings of every age, style and function will be throwing open their doors. It’s a once-a-year chance to discover hidden or forgotten gems on our doorsteps.

Heritage Open Days is organised by a huge network of people who share a passion for places, history and culture. Over 40,000 volunteers organise thousands of site openings and events, jointly attracting over 3 million visitors.

Wells Town Hall in Somerset will be showing films of local interest over the four days
