A new sandal which accommodates bespoke orthotics has been developed by Cosyfeet as a result of feedback from podiatrists and other health professionals.
The Sunrise sandal has closed sides which allow you to wear a half or full length orthotic while the closed back helps to hold the orthotic in place. It’s also gently padded at the heel for extra support and has a lightweight sole which is flexible and cushioned for comfort.
“This sandal has been developed to meet a specific need,” says Managing Director Andrew Peirce, “It will make a very positive difference to people with orthotics who are uncomfortable wearing socks and shoes in the summertime.”
Sunrise comes in sizes 4 to 9 (including half sizes) and is available in Azure Nubuck (limited edition), Lichen Nubuck (limited edition) and Navy Leather. Strap extensions are also available for especially swollen feet.
This Cosyfeet style has been shown to meet all the criteria set out by the Healthy Footwear Guide. The Healthy Footwear Guide is a collaboration between UK footwear brands and foot health professionals. It aims to highlight the importance of wearing healthy, comfortable footwear.
